Pospas Band rocks in Cebu!

Bands are noted for their monicker that marks not only the minds but also the heart of their followers. Some bands appeal to gastronomical cravings. One of then is Pospas band.

You may love congee or arroz caldo. If so, then, you must have heard pospas, too! Pospas seems to be the Cebuano or Boholano term for the stuff. But pospas is not all about food because there is Pospas band that take you to musical astonishment.

Pospas is Cebuano rock band based in Jugan, Consolacion, Cebu Province, Pospas_1 Philippines. The band, started in October 21, 2006, gradually gains popularity with the songs, Gikalipay Mo Ba?, Gikulata, and Palautang.

The name Pospas was suggested by close friends, Patrick and Jefferson. Pospas is a group of energetic young men, Cykhan Clyde Seno (lead), John Paul Acantilado (vocal), Chris Marty Perez (drums), Keneth Leron (bass), Charles Sinadhan (rhytm), who literally rock the Bisrock arena. John Paul, Keneth, and Cykhan are senior high school students of Jugan National High School while Charles is an IT student of University of Cebu (UCLM) and Chris Marty takes up Engineering in the University of San Carlos.

The band has joined a number of band contest and has proven its magnetic appeal to music lovers. In bisrock band contest held in Consolacion, Cebu (February 21, 2007), Popas was the crowd's favorite and was able to get into top five. In addtion to contest, the band also busied themselves on numerous performances in various places in Cebu. The group is currently working for its upcoming song, Baho'g Tiil. Pospas band now works on for its first recording that will contain original compositions.
