The 2017 ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Contest is open for entries!  Mark your calendar: the final deadline is July 1.

The industry judges include some of Hollywood's top horror movie producers including: 

  • Sean McKittrick, Film Producer at Darko Entertainment, and the producer of such films as DONNIE DARKOPRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES and Jordan Peele’s recent blockbuster GET OUT!  
  • Scott Henderson, Agent at Paradigm Talent Agency, representing iconic horror filmmaker James Wan who is behind such films as SAWINSIDIOUSTHE CONJURING and LIGHTS OUT!
  • Kailey Marsh, Manager / Producer and CEO of Kailey Marsh Media as well as the creator of Bloodlist.com & BloodList, the highly anticipated annual list of best unproduced horror and dark genre screenplays in Hollywood. Kailey’s clients include multiple staffed writers & directors as well as clients writing projects for studios. 
  • Ryan Turek, VP of Development at Blumhouse Productions (company credits include PARANORMAL ACTIVITYINSIDIOUSSINISTEROCULUSTHE PURGETHE GREEN INFERNO and Academy-award nominee WHIPLASH). Turek is also the founder of popular horror website ShockTillYouDrop.com! 

Whether you're writing a terrifying low-budget horror film or a huge horror-fantasy blockbuster, we want to read your script - and our jury has the experience and connections to bring it to the big screen!

  • Entry fee for each screenplay is $39 until the early deadline on April 15th, and then $59 until final deadline on July 1st.
  • All persons from anywhere in the world are eligible; however the material submitted must be in English.
